John T. Hamilton

April 21, 1943 ~ July 12, 2018 (age 75)

John T. Hamilton, 75, of Quincy  passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 in his home.

John was born on April 21, 1943 in Quincy to the late John C. and Helen M. (Woodworth) Hamilton. He was first married to Carol Strickler, Then married Theresa Carter before marrying Marsha Gravitt on July 26, 1995. Marsha survives of Quincy.

John was a 1961 graduate of Unity High School where he was a member of the FFA, Drama Club and played football. He was a member of The Crossing Church in Quincy. John was past member of the Liberty Lions Club and a 50 year member of the Ursa Lions Club and served as District Governor from 2011-2012 and then again from 2014-2015. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles Club. He loved fishing, cooking, gardening, traveling and going to tractor pulls.

Surviving are; two daughters, Brenda Blickhan of Ursa, Bethany Hamilton of Ursa; two step-sons, Michael (Kristina) Cramsey of Quincy, Gregory (Amber Bricker) Cramsey of Quincy; one step-daughther, Amy (Jeremiah Schmidt) of Quincy; one daughter-in-law, Lori Viar (Brian) of Liberty; twenty grandchildren, Deborah Blickhan, Megan Blickhan, PVT. Douglas Blickhan, Morgan Blickhan, Logan Hamilton, Brandon Hamilton, Curtis Terwelp, Jaden Cramsey, Adriaana Maltby, Gaige Jobler, Gabe Cramsey, Kiara Cramsey, Paige Cramsey, Riley Cramsey, Liam Cramsey, Nova Cramsey, Astrid Cramsey, Keri Schmidt, Angela Schmidt, Cody Dawson; two brothers, Leland Hamilton of Quincy, Bill (Rhonda) Hamilton of Quincy; four Sisters, Viola Todd of Mendon, Betty Lewis of Quincy, Esther Totsch of Quincy, Alva Mae Barnes of Quincy and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Bradley Hamilton.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in The Crossing Church in Quincy with Jason Heck officiating. Interment will be in New Providence Cemetery near Ursa. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 16, 2018 in The Crossing Church in Quincy.
